TRANSPORTATION

Here are some of our recommendations

FLYING TO FRANCE

France has flights that go directly from most major US cities. It's typically cheaper to fly from a bigger city (Chicago, NYC, ...) to a bigger city (Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, ...) as it gives you more flight options.

We typically fly to Paris and then take a train to Bordeaux, but it's also affordable to take a flight from Paris to Bordeaux.

Alternatively, you can book a flight from the US to Bordeaux,  but it is more expensive. Bordeaux is the closest major city to our venue (1 hour drive).

WHERE TO FIND FLIGHTS

There are many websites and apps out there to compare flights and set up price alerts to help you book the flight that is most conducive for you.

We usually use google flights, hopper and kayak to book our flights. It is sometimes more convenient to book directly through the airline.

GETTING TO BORDEAUX

From the Paris airport - You will need to get to the train station. The easiest way to do this is taking a taxi/uber.

The French rail system (SNCF) https://www.sncf-connect.com/en-en/, runs very frequently from Paris to Bordeaux. The trip takes about 2.5 hours. The train leaves from "Gare Paris Montparnasse" station to "Gare Bordeaux St-Jean" station. You can book your tickets here: https://ventes.ouigo.com/en-GB/

From other big cities - Your best bet is to book a low cost flight to Bordeaux.

Also, you can always rent a car from your arrival city and drive to our venue (Paris - Grignols 7-hour drive).

GETTING TO GRIGNOLS / BAZAS

Our ceremony and hotel are in the village of Bazas, and our reception is in the village of Grignols.

The easiest way to get there from Bordeaux is to rent a car.

However, we understand this might be inconvenient, and we are working on setting up shuttles so you don't have to worry about driving between the different locations of our wedding.

SHUTTLES

To make your experience as convenient and enjoyable as possible, we have organized shuttle transportation services for the various events.

The shuttle will provide transportation from Bordeaux to Bazas/Grignols on Friday at 3:30pm, as well as transportation between Bazas and Grignols on Friday night and Saturday  night. Additionally, it will be available for transportation from Bazas/Grignols on Sunday.

To reserve your seat on the shuttle, kindly inform Patrick or Julie. We will be coordinating the shuttle arrangements and collecting the necessary payments. The cost for the shuttle service is $35 per person, covering all the transportation services mentioned.

To secure your seat, please make the payment via Venmo or send the money to Patrick or Julie before your trip. This will enable us to finalize the shuttle arrangements and ensure that everyone's transportation needs are met.
